“The shop has great service. I recently bought a computer off of eBay (bad idea) and discovered that it didn’t work. I decided to bring my computer there for a diagnosis but didn’t want them to fix anything (I was planning on returning it if there were any serious issues). Long story short, I dropped it off, and a day later they called, updating me on the problem. The best part was that it was all free of charge. I would highly recommend this repair shop for their fast turn around times, great customer service, and free diagnosis. “

“Brought my broken Lenovo laptop to Lab5-8 in Encinitas. They were able to quickly assess the computer and determine what the problem was. Unfortunately, the cost to repair was higher than the cost to replace but they provided me with a tech report free of charge so that I could make a claim on my renters insurance and offered to retrieve the data on my hard disk for a very reasonable price. “My MacBook crashed out of nowhere and Apple was no help. Brought it in very nervous that I was going to lose all info and have to get a new laptop… Eric was extremely helpful in explaining what had happened to the hard drive and also software and completely fixed laptop and saved most of my info. He did it in a few days and was extremely fairly priced! Hopefully I don’t have anymore laptop issues but if I do I’ll 100% be back!”

“Lab5-8 is it! We’ve worked with them a couple times so far out of their Oceanside office and will use them for any future computer related needs. 1st time they transferred data from our busted laptop to an external hard drive and even recycled/disposed of the laptop properly for us. 2nd time the hubby and I got a thorough (but fun!) tutorial on the use of our new desktop with Kevin and Bianca. Both Kevin and Bianca are very nice and provided expert advice at our basic level. Though we never met Melinda she was very helpful in locating an app that I only thought existed in my mind – so thankful for this. Oh, and the “cherry on top” of all this is that the prices are super reasonable. Thanks guys!”

“Very knowledgeable, communicative, expert technicians at this Lab 5-8 device center. Kevin was straight forward eh me on what they are able to do with recovering data on my hard drives (they even called me during the work to let me know one of the drives is problematic and would need further diagnostics at which point I told them not to hassle with it). They got the deeply embedded virus off of my thinkpad and put a new ssd drive into it which made it WORLDS FASTER!! I am so happy to have found these amazing computer peoples!
